Tragic Loss of 16 and Pregnant Alum Autumn Crittendon at 27

The entertainment world is reeling from the sudden passing of Autumn Crittendon, a star of the hit MTV show 16 and Pregnant, at the tender age of 27.
The Virginia Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed the devastating news on Monday, July 22, and an investigation into her cause of death is currently underway.
According to reports, Autumn’s stepfather discovered her unresponsive in her bedroom, and despite the paramedics’ best efforts, including administering CPR, she could not be revived.
The heartbreaking news was shared by Autumn’s older sister, Misty, in a since-deleted Facebook post, which has left fans and fellow cast members stunned.
In her emotional tribute, Misty wrote, in part, “You were robbed of your life at such a tender age, you left before anyone could tell you goodbye… how much we love you… how amazing you are and how proud we are of you for staying sober through some of the toughest parts of your life.”
In 2024, the entertainment industry bid farewell to many beloved celebrities. One such tragic loss was Speed Racer star Christian Oliver, who died in a fatal plane crash at the age of 51. Oliver was returning from a Caribbean vacation with his two daughters when the incident occurred. Many other celebrities have also left us this year, leaving behind a legacy of memories and achievements.
Autumn first rose to fame on 16 and Pregnant during its fifth season in 2014, alongside then-boyfriend Dustin Franklin, as the show chronicled their journey to parenthood with son Drake.

After her television debut, Autumn welcomed two more children, daughter Abigail and son Luke, and largely stayed out of the public eye.
Misty’s heartfelt tribute to her sister also touched on the future of Autumn’s children, promising to ensure their well-being and keep her memory alive.
“We are gonna make sure these babies are OK. Your memory will not fade over time. It will live on every moment of every day,” Misty wrote. “I won’t let you down.”
Autumn’s passing has left a void in the lives of those who knew and loved her, and her memory will be cherished by all who followed her journey on 16 and Pregnant.
