Wrexham Star Paul Mullin’s Unlikely Hollywood Debut in Deadpool and Wolverine
Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds has made headlines again, this time for starring in the latest installment of the Deadpool movie series. But what’s more surprising is that two of the club’s players, Paul Mullin and Ollie Palmer, made cameo appearances in the blockbuster film.

As a nod to Mullin’s brief but memorable appearance in the film, Wrexham has changed the striker’s profile picture on their website to reflect the Welshpool character he played in the movie.

Mullin, who has scored an impressive 88 goals in 122 games for the Red Dragons, was not the only Wrexham player to appear in the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s newest flick. Team-mate Ollie Palmer also made a brief appearance as a bar goer.
The movie, which was released on July 25, has already netted £159.5m at the box office in its debut weekend in North America, securing a spot in the top 10 openings of all time.
Wrexham is gearing up for their first season in the third tier of English football since 2005 after securing back-to-back promotions last term. The club enjoyed an impressive north American pre-season tour, earning draws against Premier League sides Bournemouth and Chelsea.
