Hulk Hogan‘s former close friend and confidant is willing to collaborate with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon on their upcoming Gawker movie, provided they get the facts straight about the scandal that shook the wrestling world.
A representative for Bubba the Love Sponge, a well-known radio DJ, revealed that Bubba is open to working with the filmmakers to ensure accuracy in the movie. Bubba was at the center of the controversy, as his wife, Heather Clem, was involved in a sex tape with Hogan.
Bubba’s representative emphasized that he wants to clarify that the sex tape was stolen and not leaked by him. This is a crucial detail that Bubba wants to ensure is accurately portrayed in the movie.
For those who may not be aware, Bubba and his wife Heather had an arrangement that allowed her to engage in extramarital affairs, as long as they were recorded. This arrangement ultimately led to the sex tape featuring Hogan.
Hogan subsequently sued Bubba and Heather, but Bubba settled with Hogan outside of court for a mere $5,000 and an on-air apology.
While Bubba is willing to collaborate with Affleck and Damon, Hogan has made it clear that he will not be involved in the movie and may even consider legal action if the filmmakers cross a line.
As for casting, Bubba has suggested Jonah Hill or Matty Matheson of “The Bear” fame to play him in the movie.
