Veteran actress Goldie Hawn and her long-time partner, actor Kurt Russell, recently recounted a harrowing experience involving a series of attempted home invasions at their Los Angeles residence.
During an interview on the “Let’s Talk Off Camera With Kelly Ripa” podcast, Hawn, 78, revealed that their home had been targeted by intruders not once, but twice.
Recalling the first incident, Hawn shared that she and Russell had returned home after a dinner outing, only to discover that their bedroom balcony and closets had been broken into. The intruders had knocked down a safe door and made off with some of her personal belongings.
Despite this unsettling experience, Hawn found herself facing another invasion attempt earlier this year while she was home alone with her dog. She heard a loud thump upstairs, which turned out to be intruders trying to gain access to her bedroom.
Hawn expressed her shock and concern, stating, “What is happening here?” She also emphasized the importance of having a guard, especially when she’s alone, to ensure her safety and peace of mind.
The actress also mentioned that her children, Kate Hudson, Oliver Hudson, and Boston Russell, live nearby, while her son Wyatt Russell resides in Atlanta. Hawn playfully suggested that the family consider moving to Atlanta together, highlighting their close-knit relationship and desire to stay together even as they discussed the idea of a family compound with separate houses for added privacy.
Hawn reflected on the importance of family proximity, sharing that they wanted to have a large piece of land where everyone could live close to each other. She added that while they once dreamed of having a family compound, they now have a similar setup, allowing them to maintain a close-knit relationship while also having the option to enjoy some privacy when needed.
