Justin Jefferson has signed a massive new contract with the Minnesota Vikings, making him the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history.
The four-year deal is worth $140 million, with $110 million guaranteed, and makes the 24-year-old the highest-paid non-quarterback in the league. Jefferson was entering the final year of his rookie contract and had previously turned down an offer that would have earned him $28 million per season. Now, he will earn an average of $35 million per season, a significant increase from his previous deal.
The three-time Pro Bowler’s standoff with the Vikings earlier this year led to him skipping the start of the team’s practice. However, multiple teams inquired about a trade for Jefferson, and the Vikings remained firm in their intention to keep their star player.

Andrea Galea (pictured) accused Jefferson of pressuring her into an intimate decision
Jefferson recently made headlines due to a personal matter. He was accused of pressuring his ex-girlfriend, Andrea Galea, a University of Miami Law School graduate, into an intimate decision. Galea, who attended Louisiana State University with Jefferson, claimed that Jefferson is the father of her daughter, Stella, born in late December, and has pushed for financial support and healthcare coverage. Jefferson, on the other hand, has demanded an injunction to prevent Galea from sharing information about the child.
