Perry Kurtz, a seasoned stand-up comedian and former America’s Got Talent contestant, has sadly passed away at the age of 73 following a fatal hit-and-run accident in California. The Los Angeles Police Department confirmed the incident, which occurred on August 15, when a teenager struck Kurtz while he was crossing the street in Tarzana.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and an autopsy is pending to determine the cause of death. An 18-year-old suspect was arrested and booked on Friday, August 16, in connection with the incident.

In 2013, Kurtz appeared on season 8 of America’s Got Talent, where he introduced himself as an “ex-male stripper” and performed a comedy routine. Although he didn’t advance in the competition, he received a warm reception from the audience.
