Newcastle Unveils Stunning Away Kit with Star-Studded Video
Newcastle United has launched its new away kit for the 2024-25 season, and the accompanying video is a must-watch for Magpies fans. The promotional clip features no fewer than seven Newcastle legends, blending nostalgia with a focus on the current team.
The kit itself boasts burgundy and navy hoops, reminiscent of the club’s iconic 1995-96 away kit. The video, which follows a group of fans on an away game trip, is packed with subtle references to past and present moments in Newcastle’s history.
The footage features a host of current and former Newcastle stars, including Jacob Murphy, who recreates his infamous wave, and Joelinton, who makes a video call to team-mate Sean Longstaff. Manager Eddie Howe is also spotted reading Sir Bobby Robson’s book, while assistant Jason Tindall tells others on the train to “shush”.
Seven Newcastle legends make appearances in the video, including Rob Lee, who hands out Newcastle Brown Ales to fans, and Shay Given, who demonstrates his still-impressive catching skills. Nolberto Solano is seen playing his trumpet, while Steve Watson, Lee Clark, and Darren Peacock also make cameos.
The video culminates with David Ginola saying “Here’s to the journey”, as the camera pans out to reveal the entire group of players and fans united on the train.
Newcastle will be looking to build on their seventh-place finish in the Premier League last season, starting with a home game against Southampton on Saturday.
