Rachel Lindsay is embracing a new chapter in her dating life following her split from Bryan Abasolo. In a recent interview, she shared that she’s “very open” to dating again and is eager to find someone who aligns with her values and ambitions.
Lindsay, 39, revealed that she’s in a “weird space” as she navigates dating in her late thirties while going through a divorce and not having children yet. However, she remains optimistic and excited about the future, focusing on having fun and exploring new connections.
The former reality star has a clear idea of what she’s looking for in a partner. She emphasizes the importance of loyalty, personality, and ambition. “I want them to be ambitious but also very understanding,” she added.

Lindsay also shared that she’s no longer interested in dating for “potential.” Instead, she seeks a partner who is secure and established, rather than someone who needs guidance or help. “I can no longer date for potential. I have to date somebody who knows who they are, knows what they want, is secure in who they are, and is not intimidated,” she asserted.
The Bachelorette alum previously accepted a proposal from Abasolo, 44, during the season 13 finale in 2017, and they tied the knot two years later. However, their relationship faced challenges, including a long-distance marriage due to Lindsay’s career.
Amid their divorce proceedings, there have been disagreements over finances, with both parties requesting spousal support. Despite the legal back and forth, Abasolo defended Lindsay from assumptions that their long-distance marriage was the sole reason for their split.
Lindsay has also spoken out about the challenges of navigating their relationship in the public eye and the pressure to constantly showcase their love on social media. She emphasized that their decision to pull away from the public eye was intentional to build a strong foundation for their marriage.
As Lindsay moves forward, she remains focused on healing and finding joy in this new chapter of her life, embracing the excitement and possibilities that lie ahead in her dating journey.
