The Kansas City Chiefs visited the White House, donning sharp outfits and creating memorable moments with the US President Joe Biden. The reigning NFL champions, led by Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid, and Travis Kelce, posed for pictures inside the prestigious residence, with the team’s social media capturing the historic event.
Receiver Rashee Rice posed with owner Clark Hunt’s wife and daughters on Friday
The photos showcased Mahomes in a blue pinstripe suit, while Reid donned a white shirt, red tie, and blue jacket with a Chiefs logo. Other players featured included Trey Smith, Drue Tranquill, Charles Omenihu, Nick Bolton, and Justin Reid. The team’s social media captioned the post: “History walks these halls.”
Cornerback Joshua Williams added a touch of humor to the visit, winking at the camera and saying, “Welcome to the White House… again,” inside the White House library. Wide receiver Rashee Rice also shared snaps on Instagram, including a photo with Chiefs owner Clark Hunt’s family.
Head coach Andy Reid was also pictured in his blue suit during their visit to the capital
President Biden praised the Chiefs’ consecutive Super Bowl victories, drawing parallels to his own experience. “Back to back, I like that,” he quipped. “When the doubters question whether you could pull it off again — believe me, I know the feeling. I don’t think anyone’s doubting you now.”
Travis Kelce joked about ‘getting tased’ after US President Joe Biden’s remarks
Biden tried on a Chiefs helmet, gifted to him by the team, to the delight of the crowd. After Biden’s speech, Kelce took the mic, jokingly referencing his attempt to give a speech during last year’s visit: “It’s nice to see you all again. I’m not gonna lie, President Biden, they told me if I came up here, I’d get tased, so I’m gonna go back to my spot.”
The Chiefs will look to win their third consecutive title after winning three in the last five years
The Chiefs have secured their third title in five years and will now set their sights on a historic threepeat. Their 2024 campaign begins on September 5 with an AFC Championship rematch against the Baltimore Ravens.
