Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez were spotted at his son Samuel’s graduation ceremony, but they kept their distance. The former couple, who tied the knot in July 2022, arrived and departed separately. Affleck was accompanied by his mother, while Lopez attended with her twins, Max and Emme.
Affleck’s ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, Samuel’s mother, was also present with their other two children. According to reports, the event marked a rare instance where both sides of Samuel’s family were in attendance, maintaining a respectful distance.
This sighting comes amid ongoing speculation about the state of Affleck and Lopez’s marriage. In May, sources revealed that the couple had started experiencing issues, with Lopez focusing on her work commitments and the two being on “two completely different pages.”
Adding fuel to the fire, it was also reported that Affleck had moved out of their Beverly Hills mansion, which they had purchased for a substantial sum in 2023. Despite these challenges, the couple presented a united front at Affleck’s daughter Violet’s high school graduation party at Garner’s house at the end of May.
Lopez has chosen to remain tight-lipped about the rumors, deflecting a question about the state of her marriage during a press conference for her film Atlas in Mexico City. Her costar, Simu Liu, stepped in to support her, stating, “You know better than that.”
