According to MailOnline reporters Olivia Christie and Mark Duell, Emma Raducanu humorously attributed her victory to England’s ‘ugly’ win over Slovakia in the Euros, following her triumph over Renata Zarazua in the opening match.

The British ace showcased her prowess by defeating World No. 98 from Mexico with a score of 7-6 6-3, while Three Lions legend David Beckham watched from the Royal Box.

Raducanu’s primary objective was simply to cross the finish line, marking her first match back at the Championships since her injury-forced absence last year.
