Singer Bebe Rexha has taken to social media to share an emotional account of being allegedly threatened by a security agent for speaking Albanian at Munich Airport.
In a tearful Instagram Story, Rexha, 34, claimed that she was banned from her Lufthansa flight after speaking to the security agent in Albanian, and accused him of mentally abusing her and making her feel powerless.
The singer, who is of Albanian-North Macedonian descent, wrote that she believes the incident to be a hate crime and expressed her disappointment that none of the women at Lufthansa stepped in to help her.

Rexha reposted a plea from another Instagram user asking for her to be brought “home safe” from Munich Airport and for the male officer who threatened her to be investigated.
The singer, who was born in Brooklyn and moved to Staten Island at the age of six, has been open about her Albanian-North Macedonian heritage and has spoken about the importance of her cultural roots.
Rexha’s posts come just a month after she expressed her frustration with the music industry, claiming that she is “fed up” and has information that could “bring down a big chunk of this industry.”
As she shared footage of herself sobbing with her 11.9 followers, the singer, 34, explained that she was emotional because the man reportedly banned her from ‘the flight’ on the airline, Lufthansa

Rexha has written hits for several artists, including Selena Gomez and Iggy Azalea, and has been nominated for four Grammy Awards.
