Taylor Swift’s Latest Move in Ongoing Feud
Appears to Target Kanye West with Song Title Change
New Album’s Success Fuels Speculation
Taylor Swift seems to be taking a subtle jab at Kanye West by altering the title of a song initially believed to be about her disagreement with Kim Kardashian.
Back in April, Swift released a single titled “thanK you aIM,” which sparked rumors among her massive fan base that the song was about her long-standing feud with Kim K. The capitalized letters “K,” “I,” and “M” in the title only added fuel to the speculation.
However, Swift has now changed the title to “thank You aimEe,” capitalizing the letters “Y” and “E” to spell out Ye’s name, leading many to speculate that the change is a response to her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department,” outselling West’s “Vultures 2” on the Billboard 200 charts.
It appears Swift is rubbing her victory in West’s face, and it’s not hard to understand why. You may recall the infamous incident where Kim and Kanye secretly recorded a conversation with Swift about his track, “Famous.”
At the time, West publicly claimed that Swift had given her approval for a line that referenced their infamous MTV moment, saying “I made that bitch famous.”
However, Swift disputed this, saying West never brought up the line during their phone call. Kim then posted a clip of their recorded discussion, but edited it to make it seem like Swift had given West permission to use the line.
Later, the unedited version of the conversation surfaced, showing that Swift never authorized the use of the line. This led to Swift writing and releasing “thanK you aIM” in response.
Will this ongoing feud between Swift, West, and Kardashian ever come to an end?
