Jessica and Birdie looked cozy in Saturday’s selfie, which showed them lounging on a couch at home.

Simpson was makeup-free and wore her bright blonde hair down, while sporting a red flannel pajama top.

Birdie, a recent kindergartner graduate, wore a set of white and red heart-patterned thermals.

Jessica previously discussed the extensive traveling she’s been doing between her home in Los Angeles and a music studio in Nashville to work on her album.

“I’m back and forth a lot, so now they know what it’s like to miss me, and I feel very loved,” the co-founder of The Jessica Simpson Collection said.

“They helped me find a house [in Nashville], we all moved there, they picked their rooms, that type of stuff, but they’re in school, so I have two weeks [in Nashville], two weeks home.”

Along with Birdie, Simpson and Johnson are proud parents to daughter Maxwell, 12, and son Ace, 11.

Simpson stated that her plan was to ensure her three kids were settled and “confident enough in school and in life” before she returned to music or acting, her other passions.

During an interview late last year, The Dukes Of Hazzard starlet revealed she planned to release her next album in the early part of 2024, followed by a tour in support of her new music.

Although the initial release date has passed, fans are eagerly awaiting her return to music.

Born in Abilene, Texas, Jessica Simpson began performing in church choirs as a child and landed a record deal at 17, leading to her debut, Sweet Kisses (1999), which peaked at number 25 on the Billboard 200 albums chart, selling over two million copies.

For her sophomore release, Irresistible (2001), she aimed for a more mature image, which led to her releasing five more albums, culminating in her second Christmas-themed collection of songs, Happy Christmas (2010).

Throughout her career, Jessica Simpson has sold over 20 million albums.

Simpson and Johnson started dating in May 2010, after a mutual friend invited Johnson to a party at her house, during which they “connected on all levels.”

After publicly confessing her love for Johnson, he and his ex-wife finalized their divorce.

Simpson and Johnson, who tied the knot in July 2014, recently celebrated their milestone 10th wedding anniversary.
