The Olympic Obsession Takes Center Stage
Adele Puts Concert on Hold for 11-Second Thrill
Sports Fandom Knows No Bounds
Adele’s passion for the Olympics has earned her a gold medal in dedication! The singer-songwriter brought her concert in Munich, Germany to a halt on Saturday to witness the women’s 100-meter final, broadcasting it on the stadium’s massive screens for all to see.
The crowd held its collective breath as the race began, with Julien Alfred from Saint Lucia securing the top spot in an astonishing 11 seconds. The U.S.A. contingent, comprising Sha’carri Richardson and Melissa Jefferson, took home silver and bronze medals respectively.
Adele resumed her singing duties after the brief interlude, but it’s clear that the allure of the Olympics has her under its spell, much like her fellow celebrities.
A-listers like Snoop Dogg, Pharrell Williams, Nicole Kidman, Rebel Wilson, Jessica Chastain, Livvy Dunne, Ariana Grande, John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Flavor Flav, and Sarah Jessica Parker, among many others, have flocked to Paris to soak in the Olympic spirit.
Adele will continue to perform in Munich, with two shows scheduled each week until the end of the month. However, with Paris just a short two-hour flight away, it wouldn’t be surprising if she makes an appearance at the Games next week.
