The Chicago Bears appear to have found their franchise quarterback in Caleb Williams, whom they selected with the first overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.
Williams entered the draft as one of the most highly touted quarterback prospects in recent memory.
He may be the solution the Bears have been searching for, particularly since the team has never had a 4,000-yard passer in its history.
Williams has thus far lived up to the hype, impressing in preseason games and training camp with his exceptional performance.
However, not everyone is convinced of his abilities, with some analysts pointing out a specific area of concern in his game.
Former NFL quarterback Shaun King recently expressed his reservations about Williams, highlighting a particular weakness in his game.
“I think there’s a glaring weakness that Caleb Williams needs to work on, and that’s his ability to read the field,” King stated. “When you watch him play, you rarely see him in the pocket, in rhythm, delivering the ball on time.”

King believes that Williams struggles with field vision, which could pose a problem for him in the future.
While he has looked impressive in the preseason, he has not yet faced the top defenders from opposing teams.
The regular season will present a new challenge, as he will face the best players in the league.
His first true test will come in Week 1 of the regular season when the Bears face the Tennessee Titans.
