Tottenham Hotspur delivered a dominating performance, thrashing Everton 4-0 in their Premier League matchup. The Toffees, currently at the bottom of the table, have now conceded seven goals without scoring any in their opening two games.
Yves Bissouma, who recently made headlines for his off-field antics, scored his first goal for Tottenham, expertly curling the ball into the top corner. Heung-min Son added two more, capitalizing on Jordan Pickford’s mistake to make it 2-0, and later sealing the deal with a slick finish. Cristian Romero also got on the scoreboard, heading in from a corner to make it 3-0.
Everton, plagued by injuries and crisis, struggled to keep up with Tottenham’s pace. Their goalkeeper, Jordan Pickford, had an afternoon to forget, with his mistake leading to Son’s goal. The Toffees’ debutant, 19-year-old Roman Dixon, had a tough outing, facing a rampant Spurs side that seemed to have the upper hand throughout the game.
Tottenham’s manager will be pleased with his team’s performance, which comes as a welcome relief after a tumultuous start to the season. On the other hand, Sean Dyche has a lot of work to do to turn things around for Everton, who are facing a daunting task to climb out of the relegation zone.
