Newlywed Jana Duggar is embarking on a new chapter in her life with husband Stephen Wissman in Nebraska.
The former 19 Kids and Counting star tied the knot on Thursday, August 15, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas, and is now preparing to move to Wissman’s hometown in the Cornhusker State.
“He has a little house we bought that we’ve been fixing up and getting pulled together, and so that’s been fun,” Duggar, 34, shared in an interview.
Nebraska is already home to Wissman, who serves as a pastor and bible study leader at East Fairview Mennonite Church in Milford.
Jana and Stephen exchanged vows in a ceremony with Jana’s sister Jessa Duggar Seewald, 31, serving as her maid of honor. Jana’s sisters Jinger Duggar Vuolo, 30, Joy-Anna Forsyth, 26, Johannah Duggar, 18, and Jordyn Duggar, 15, were bridesmaids; as was her sister-in-law, Abbie (who is married to Jana’s twin brother, John-David Duggar). Jana’s father, Jim Bob Duggar, 59, walked her down the aisle.

Jana couldn’t always count on finding her forever husband. For nearly 12 years, the reality star allowed cameras to document her life on TLC’s 19 Kids and Counting and the spinoff Counting On. During the show, Duggar witnessed her sisters fall in love, leaving her wondering when her time would come.
It was truly a family affair as Hannah Wissman — who is one of groom Stephen’s 13 siblings — is married to Jana’s brother Jeremiah Duggar. The duo wed in March 2022.
Stephen’s family also had a large role in the wedding as they prepared dinner for the 500 guests at the reception.

“The Wissmanns are incredible cooks. They’re going to do a full spread and they’ve been working on it,” Jana shared. “ I’m like, ‘Just do it. I trust y’all. Y’all making amazing food.’”
Jana and Stephen first met in 2011 via their families, but it wasn’t until several years later that they started dating. In her interview, Jana revealed they dated a few years ago before going their separate ways.
The Duggar family has been captivating viewers with their unique courtship process since 2008 — and have kept the tradition going strong ever since. Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar share 19 children: sons Joshua, John-David, Joseph, Josiah, Jedidiah, Jeremiah, Jason, Justin and Jackson, and daughters Jana, Jill, Jessa, Jinger, Joy-Anna, Johannah, Jennifer, Jordyn-Grace and Josie.
