General Hospital’s Cameron Mathison has been spotted out and about with a female friend in Pasadena, just hours after announcing the end of his 22-year marriage to Vanessa Arevalo.
The 54-year-old soap star appeared to be in high spirits as he spent quality time with actress Aubree Knight, despite the shock split from his wife.
While the nature of Mathison and Knight’s relationship is unclear, the pair did not display any public displays of affection and seemed to be just enjoying each other’s company.
An eyewitness revealed that the duo spent an hour at Mathison’s former marital home before heading out to lunch at Sweetgreen, describing the outing as “not romantic at all” and more like a business lunch or interview.

During their lunch, Knight was described as “pretty eager and chatty,” while Mathison was mostly quiet, sitting across from her in a booth with his feet kicked up on the chair next to him.
The actor dressed casually in a black V-neck t-shirt and white pants, while Knight wore a sleeveless romper and tennis shoes.
As they strolled down the sidewalk together, they shared a laugh and chatted, eventually making their way back to Mathison’s Tesla.
This outing comes after Mathison announced his divorce from Arevalo in an emotional statement, revealing that they had decided to part ways after 22 years of marriage.
The couple, who share two children, Leila, 17, and Lucas, 21, expressed their gratitude for the wonderful years they shared together and vowed to prioritize their children’s well-being during this transition.
Following his shock split from Arevalo, who he shares a daughter named Leila, 17, and son Lucas, 21, the soap star, 54, appeared in high spirits as he spent some one-on-one time with actress Aubree Knight
Although the nature of the pair’s relationship is unknown, the actor and Knight did not engage in any PDA and appeared to just be friends
Mathison and Arevalo first met in 1998 while working as models in New York City and started dating the following year.
The couple got married on July 27, 2002, after Mathison proposed to Arevalo in Vail, Colorado.
Mathison has played Drew Cain on General Hospital since 2021, while Arevalo guest-starred on the show in 2022 as an executive coach named Mia in three episodes.
The split comes five years after Mathison was diagnosed with kidney cancer and underwent surgery to remove the tumor.
He was later declared cancer-free.
