Witney Carson, a renowned professional dancer, is making a comeback to Dancing with the Stars for season 33 after a two-year hiatus. The 30-year-old dancer, who welcomed her second child last May, announced her return to the show on Instagram.
In a special clip shared with Good Morning America, Carson teased her dance partner’s identity, saying, “He will sweep you off your feet. We are so ready to get that Len Goodman Mirrorball Trophy.” The full cast of the highly anticipated season will be revealed on Wednesday.
This will be Carson’s 14th season on the show, having previously competed with celebrities like Alfonso Ribeiro, Chris Soules, and Frankie Muniz. She won first place with Alfonso Ribeiro in season 19.
Carson first joined the show in 2018, dancing alongside Australian singer Cody Simpson, but did not finish in the top three. She took a break from the show in 2021 to focus on her family after welcoming her first child.
Fans and fellow dancers are thrilled about Carson’s return, with many taking to social media to congratulate her. DWTS co-host Julianne Hough wrote, “So happy to have you back @witneycarson ❤️.” Brylee, the wife of DWTS vet Brandon Armstrong, exclaimed, “Yay wit!!! The ballroom isn’t the same without you! ❤️”
Carson’s return to the show is highly anticipated, and fans can’t wait to see her back on the dance floor.
