Tori Spelling and Randy Spelling‘s sibling relationship was far from ordinary, with moments of intense drama and deep affection.
In a recent episode of her podcast “misSPELLING”, Tori, 51, shared a childhood memory that left her brother Randy, 45, shaken. The former Beverly Hills, 90210 actress recounted a time when she almost injured her younger brother in a fit of rage.
Randy quickly remembered the incident, which occurred when he was around 8 or 9 years old and Tori was in 7th or 8th grade. According to Randy, Tori’s eyes would turn “crazy” when she got angry, and on this particular occasion, she came after him with a letter opener.

The catalyst for Tori’s anger was her brother’s habit of eavesdropping on her phone conversations with friends. As a new student at an all-girls school, Tori felt self-conscious about her academic struggles and creative nature. Randy’s listening ears proved to be too much for her, and one night, she snapped.
“I would just go mad,” Tori recalled. “I would go absolutely ballistic. And at that point, that is when I threw open the door, pulled up my letter opener, and I ran out and tried to… well, let’s just say I wasn’t thinking clearly.”
Luckily, Tori later clarified that she wasn’t serious about harming her brother, and the pair shared a laugh about the incident on the podcast episode.

On a more positive note, Randy expressed gratitude towards Tori for helping him during a difficult time in his childhood. When Randy was in middle school, he wanted to switch schools to find a better learning environment. Tori played a crucial role in persuading their parents, Aaron and Candy Spelling, to make the change.
“You suggested the school I ended up going to because you had close friends and you said, ‘It was smaller. I think he’s really going to like it and thrive there’ and I did,” Randy recalled. “I thank you for that. You went to bat for me.”
