During their pre-season tour of the United States, Manchester City stars, including Jack Grealish, took a break from their grueling training schedule to visit Universal Studios’ Orlando resort. The Premier League champions have had a slow start to their pre-season campaign, losing both of their opening matches to Celtic and AC Milan.
Pep Guardiola’s men are set to face off against his old club Barcelona at the Camping World Stadium on Tuesday, but it seems the players have been making the most of their downtime. The team took to social media to share a hilarious video of Grealish meeting an animatronic Donkey and actors dressed as Princess Fiona and Shrek.
In the clip, Grealish and his teammates, including Erling Haaland, approach the trio of characters, who were standing by a replica of Shrek’s swamp hut. Donkey, known for his witty one-liners, couldn’t resist poking fun at Grealish’s impressive calf muscles.

Donkey poked fun at Grealish, stating that he was impressed by his large calf muscles before asking him if they were implants, with Erling Haaland (right) laughing at their exchange
Donkey joked that Grealish reminded him of Lord Farquaad, the main antagonist of the Shrek franchise, which left the City winger smiling. The animatronic character also asked Grealish about his gym routine, inquiring about his deadlift max and whether he had any implants.
Grealish replied that he didn’t have any implants, stating that his impressive physique was “au naturale.” The exchange left Haaland in stitches, and it’s clear that the team is enjoying their downtime in the States.
