The Orange County Sheriff-Coroner Department has revealed the cause of death for Josh Waring, the 35-year-old son of The Real Housewives of Orange County alum Lauri Peterson.
According to officials, Waring’s death on March 31 was the result of a combination of fentanyl, methamphetamine, and olanzapine. The manner of death was ruled accidental.
Lauri Peterson, 63, shared the heartbreaking news of her son’s passing on her Instagram account, expressing her devastation and grief.

Josh’s sister Ashley Zarlin also paid tribute to her brother, sharing a series of photos of the two throughout the years and expressing her sorrow at losing him to the “relentless grip of addiction.”
In her Instagram post, Lauri Peterson described her son as a bright and loving person who fought hard against his addiction. She also praised his sense of humor, kindness, and love for his family.

Josh is survived by his daughter Kennady, 12, as well as his parents and sisters.
