Jennifer Garner has made a sly dig at her ex-husband Ben Affleck in her latest film, Deadpool & Wolverine, which has left fans buzzing.
The 52-year-old actress, who was married to Affleck from 2005 to 2018, reprised her role as Elektra in the new action comedy, which brings together two heavy-hitters of the superhero genre, Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine.
In the film, Elektra casually mentions the death of her former love interest, Daredevil, played by Affleck in the 2003 film. When offered condolences, she shrugs it off with a dry “it’s fine,” leaving fans to wonder if the line is a subtle jab at her ex-husband.

Garner and Affleck’s 13-year marriage ended in divorce in 2018, but they have remained on good terms, co-parenting their three children, Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12.

Deadpool & Wolverine has received rave reviews, with an 80% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and a 97% audience score. The film is projected to have a domestic debut between $160-170 million, which would make it the biggest opening of any R-rated film in history.
