In a heartfelt post, Willis expressed her gratitude for the incredible journey she’s been on with her daughter, saying, “I feel so grateful that our journey has been so incredible.” The World Health Organization and UNICEF recommend exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months of a baby’s life, and Willis has been fortunate enough to have a smooth and enjoyable experience.
However, she acknowledged that not all women have the same level of support and care, particularly during the critical early days in hospitals. She also highlighted the importance of combating misinformation about breastfeeding that can be devastating to a mother’s journey.
Willis shared a series of candid photos, including one of her breastfeeding her daughter shortly after birth, with her mother Demi Moore by her side. The actress emphasized the importance of early initiation of breastfeeding within one hour of birth, as recommended by the World Health Organization.
In her post, Willis also emphasized the numerous benefits of breastfeeding, calling breast milk “a miraculous living substance, rich in antibodies, essential nutrients, and enzymes that bolster a baby’s immune system and promote healthy development.” She encouraged her 1.1 million followers to advocate for better support and resources for breastfeeding moms everywhere.
