Neville, who co-founded University Academy 92 (UA92) with his ex-Manchester United teammates Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, and Paul Scholes, took to the phones to offer words of encouragement to disappointed students.

UA92 is expecting a significant increase in student intake this year, with over 500 students set to join the institution. In an effort to combat the decline in further education applications, Neville donned a headset and attempted to channel his inner motivational speaker.

Despite the good intentions, Neville’s words of wisdom fell flat with many online, who couldn’t resist making light of the situation. One user quipped that Neville’s motivational speaking was as bad as his team talks at Valencia, while another joked that receiving a pep talk from the former right-back would only serve to make things worse.
