West Ham Completes Eighth Summer Signing with Aaron Wan-Bissaka’s Arrival
West Ham United has bolstered its squad with the signing of right-back Aaron Wan-Bissaka from Manchester United in a £15million deal, marking the club’s eighth summer signing.
Wan-Bissaka, a long-term target for the Hammers, has signed a seven-year deal at the London Stadium and could make his debut in the season opener against Aston Villa on Saturday.
The defender’s move was initially stalled due to an exit settlement surrounding the reduction of his salary in east London. However, the transfer was pushed over the line on Monday after Wan-Bissaka completed his medical.
Wan-Bissaka expressed his excitement and happiness to join West Ham, stating, “It was a no-brainer for me to join West Ham – I’m excited and happy to be here.”

The club posted a video showing Wan-Bissaka posing in his new claret and blue colours, with the defender stating, “It’s an amazing feeling to be back in London, and I’m excited for what’s coming. I was born here, so I know the ins and outs of London, which plays a big part in my life, so to be back playing in this city means a lot to me.”
Wan-Bissaka becomes the club’s third defensive signing, following Max Kilman’s £40million deal from Wolves and Jean-Clair Todibo’s season-long loan from Nice.
Technical director expressed his delight in securing Wan-Bissaka’s deal, saying, “I am delighted we’ve been able to get the deal to sign Aaron over the line. He’s exactly the type of player we’re looking to attract to this club in the prime years of his career.”

Julen Lopetegui’s side have now made eight signings in the summer transfer window
He added, “He’s an incredibly talented defender who we rate very highly – superb in one-on-one situations. He’s versatile too, which is clearly another positive.”
With Wan-Bissaka’s arrival, West Ham is gearing up for the start of the new season, which kicks off on Saturday against Aston Villa.
