Teresa Giudice, a household name in the reality TV world, has a husband, Luis “Louie” Ruelas, who’s still adjusting to life in the public eye.
In an exclusive interview at the Mend Skincare Presents: Jill Zarin’s Luxury Luncheon by Laifen & Ticket2Events in Southampton, New York, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star, 52, opened up about her husband’s struggles with the spotlight.
“I feel bad for him. He’s had to deal with people being hurtful in my world,” Giudice said, sounding apologetic. “I’m sorry.”
Ruelas, 49, echoed her sentiments, confessing, “I didn’t do enough research on the show before I got on. I just followed my heart.”
The couple, who tied the knot on August 6, 2022, at the Park Chateau Estate in East Brunswick, New Jersey, are gearing up to celebrate their second anniversary next month.
To mark the occasion, they’re embarking on a 20-day jet-setting adventure to Mykonos, Barcelona, Ibiza, and Bodrum, Turkey.

Giudice also shared her encounter with Taylor Swift at Coachella in April, where they took a photo together.
“She was such a sweetheart,” Giudice gushed. “I became a Swiftie because of her. I hate to bother anyone, but she was so kind, just like me.”
Giudice continued, “If anyone ever wants a picture, I’m always nice to them, and she was the same way. She was so sweet.”

Giudice recalled her Coachella experience, saying, “We were right next to each other, watching Ice Spice. And I was right next to Justin Bieber and his wife Hailey Bieber. She’s beautiful, and I love Justin’s music. I was going to ask them for a picture but didn’t because we were all just enjoying the concert.”
Giudice was previously married to Joe Giudice from 1999 until 2020 and shares four daughters – Gia, 23, Gabriella, 19, Milania, 18, and Audriana, 14 – with her ex-husband.
Us Weekly confirmed the reality TV personality’s romance with Ruelas in November 2020, although the couple revealed they had started dating three months prior.
At the time, an insider told Us that their relationship was “very new, but they are happy.”
