Kailyn Lowry is beaming with pride as her 14-year-old son, Isaac, prepares to embark on a new chapter in his life.
In an exclusive conversation, Lowry, 32, revealed that Isaac is set to start high school in just a week’s time, marking a significant milestone in his life.
Lowry couldn’t help but express her admiration for her son, stating, “I’m just so proud of him, because the things that I was doing at his age versus the things that he’s doing at his age are night and day.” She added, “He truly is a better human than I think I could have ever been at that age. He’s fantastic.”
One of Isaac’s remarkable achievements is his fluency in American Sign Language (ASL), which he hopes to utilize as an interpreter in the future. Lowry shared that Isaac has been taking online courses with the local school for the deaf, a testament to his dedication and passion for the subject.
The Teen Mom 2 alum acknowledged that it’s surreal to think about her son approaching the same age she was when she gave birth to him in 2010. However, she’s thrilled to see Isaac blossoming into a unique individual, distinct from her own teenage self.
Lowry also touched on her coparenting journey with Isaac’s father, Jo Rivera, stating that while it’s not always easy, they’ve managed to navigate the challenges and raise a wonderful child together. She added that Jo and his wife, Vee Rivera, have become an integral part of their lives, even co-hosting the “Baby Mamas No Drama” podcast together.
Lowry is proud of the progress she and Jo have made as coparents, stating, “We couldn’t ask for a better kid. He truly has given us everything. We don’t deserve Isaac, truly, because he’s so easygoing but he knows what he wants.”
In addition to Isaac, Lowry is a mother to sons Lincoln, 10, Lux, 7, Creed, 4, Rio, 21 months, and twins Verse and Valley, born in late 2023, from her relationships with Javi Marroquin, Chris Lopez, and Elijah Scott, respectively.
