Jax Taylor Seeks In-Patient Treatment Amid Ongoing Separation from Brittany Cartwright
Jax Taylor is taking a crucial step towards addressing his mental health struggles by seeking in-patient treatment amidst his ongoing separation from wife Brittany Cartwright.
A representative for the Vanderpump Rules alum revealed in a statement that Taylor, 45, has made the decision to seek professional help to tackle his mental health issues. “He has always been open about his struggles, especially on his podcast,” the statement read. “This is a sensitive time for him and his family, and they request privacy and respect until he is ready to speak more on this matter.”
The news comes after Taylor shared a telling Instagram post, which featured a quote from e-buddhism.com that read, “Be strong enough to stand alone, smart enough to know when you need help, and brave enough to ask for it.” The post was accompanied by a smiley face, prayer hands, and a red heart emoji.
The Valley star, who shares 3-year-old Cruz with Cartwright, 35, has been open about his struggles, and this latest move is a testament to his commitment to prioritizing his mental well-being.
Cartwright first hinted at troubles in the pair’s marriage during the February 22 episode of their “When Reality Hits” podcast. She later revealed that she had moved out of the family’s home, citing the need to prioritize her mental health.
The couple addressed their separation during the season 1 finale of The Valley, which aired on June 4. In one scene, Taylor recalled being “down in the dumps” crying after Cartwright told him she wanted to separate. “Brittany and I are on a break. … It is not looking good,” he said in the episode. “There is [sic] no affairs, there’s no cheating or abuse. None of that. I am so triggered.”
Taylor accused Cartwright of sleeping with somebody else via a now-deleted X post, but later claimed the pair were “working things out.”
We wish Jax Taylor all the best as he takes this crucial step towards addressing his mental health struggles.
