Las Vegas Raiders head coach and former NFL linebacker, Antonio Pierce, has been named in a recent bankruptcy filing by his wife, Jocelyn Pierce, in Arizona. The filing reveals that Pierce allegedly invested in car dealerships that defaulted on loans totaling $28 million.
According to documents obtained by DailyMail.com, lenders, including Nissan Motor Acceptance Corporation and Hyundai Capital America, are seeking to garnish Pierce’s wages with the Raiders. Jocelyn Pierce made the bankruptcy filing to protect her assets and has been granted an extension until July 12 to gather information on community property between her and her husband, whom she married in 2008.
Jocelyn’s filing states that Pierce was a passive investor in several car dealerships in the 2010s. However, when the businesses defaulted on loans, lenders produced documents showing Pierce as a guarantor. The case was first revealed by labor attorney Jason Morrin, and an attorney representing Jocelyn Pierce has not provided a comment.

The details of Pierce’s new salary as head coach have not been made public since his promotion from interim coach in January. Pierce, a former Super Bowl winner, replaced the fired head coach Josh McDaniels in October, leading the Raiders to an 8-9 season and narrowly missing the playoffs. He is also known for his involvement in an incident where he rushed teammate Plaxico Burress to the hospital after an accidental self-inflicted shooting at a strip club in 2008. Pierce was cleared of any criminal wrongdoing in that incident.
Antonio and Jocelyn Pierce have been married since 2008, and he is reported to have seven children.
