Premier League Legend Nets £14m with Ferrari’s Wild Ride

A former Premier League player is poised to sell his ultra-rare Ferrari for a staggering £14 million. The ex-footballer, who wishes to remain anonymous, purchased the car 16 years ago during his time playing in England’s top-flight league. It is believed that the player’s friendship with Michael Schumacher, the renowned Formula One driver who was then with Ferrari, influenced his decision to acquire the rare vehicle.

The 250 GT SWB California Spider is a true masterpiece, boasting a top speed of 145 mph and accelerating from 0 to 60 mph in just 7.2 seconds. With an auction price of £14 million, this car is set to fetch more than double the player’s entire career transfer fees. This sale is a testament to the player’s astute investment, as well as the car’s rarity and desirability among collectors.

As reported by The Sun, the former Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack is set to part ways with his prized possession for a substantial sum. Despite being one of the most celebrated players of his era, Ballack’s career transfer fees totaled just over £7 million, highlighting the incredible profit he stands to make from this sale.

Ballack’s career began at Chemnitzer FC, before he moved to Kaiserslautern in 1997 for a modest fee of £60,000. He then joined Bayer Leverkusen for £2.1 million and later signed with Bayern Munich in 2002 for £5.1 million. In 2006, Ballack made a high-profile move to Chelsea on a free transfer, and eventually returned to Leverkusen, again on a free transfer.
