Cystal Palace have reignited their pursuit of Arsenal forward Eddie Nketiah, offering a season-long loan with an obligation to purchase next summer.
Oliver Glaser’s side face stiff competition, however, as Nottingham Forest had previously been close to agreeing a deal before talks stalled, leading them to shift their focus to Feyenoord’s Santiago Gimenez.
Marseille had also expressed interest in Nketiah earlier in the transfer window, but instead opted for Elye Wahi from Lens.
Nketiah is expected to depart north London before the transfer window closes on Friday.

Nketiah has been an unused substitute for both of Arsenal’s games this season as Mikel Arteta’s side have enjoyed a perfect start to the campaign.
The 25-year-old made 27 Premier League appearances last term, scoring five goals, but was limited to just 10 starts as the Gunners were pipped to the post by Manchester City on the final day.
Palace are also considering a move for Wolves wing-back Rayan Ait-Nouri ahead of the transfer deadline, while Chelsea’s Carney Chukwuemeka is also being monitored.
