NFL Team Ditches Disgraced Player: Chiefs Release Isaiah Buggs Amidst Shocking Charges of Violence and Cruelty

The Kansas City Chiefs have released defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs following his arrest on charges of domestic violence and burglary. The 27-year-old had previously been arrested earlier this year for animal cruelty.

According to reports, Buggs was on a $1.3 million contract with the Chiefs but was let go on Monday following his recent legal troubles. In June, he was accused of dragging the mother of his child down a set of stairs, causing injuries.

Buggs has been arrested recently for domestic violence, burglary, and animal cruelty

Kansas City Chiefs have cut ties with defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs following off-field controversies.

The woman told police that Buggs broke into her home in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, with a tire iron in the early morning. She claimed that he confronted her upstairs before dragging her down the stairs, causing her to break several clip-on toenails and sustain scratches on her wrist.

Buggs left the scene after the woman said she was calling the police but was later located and arrested in a nearby parking lot. This incident comes just a month after Buggs turned himself in on charges of animal cruelty.

He was accused of leaving two dogs on the back porch of his house, near the University of Alabama, without food or water. One of the dogs, a pitbull, was surrounded by feces and had to be euthanized due to its aggressive behavior and health issues.

The Kansas City Chiefs have been dealing with a string of controversies involving their players this offseason. However, their decision to cut ties with Buggs shows a more decisive approach compared to other instances.
