Travis Kelce had an unexpected encounter with a fan during a celebrity golf tournament in Lake Tahoe. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end, joined by his brother and former Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, participated in the 35th annual American Century Championship. Despite his claimed golf handicap of seven or eight, Kelce’s opening tee shot went astray, striking a spectator in the arm.
In a heartwarming gesture, Kelce, accompanied by a sheriff, located the fan and offered a unique apology. He shook the gentleman’s hand and proceeded to kiss his arm, much to the delight and cheer of the crowd at Edgewood Tahoe Resort. The Kelce brothers attracted a large following as they navigated the course, alongside other NFL talents and legends such as Aaron Rodgers, Josh Allen, and Jerry Rice.
Prior to the tournament, Jason Kelce showcased his skills by winning the long drive contest with an impressive 322-yard tee shot. However, Travis Kelce’s opening shot didn’t go as planned, despite his self-proclaimed handicap. The tournament also featured a star-studded lineup of NFL legends and TV and film stars, making it a memorable event for all participants and spectators.
