NFL Star Practices as Pop Star Sweetheart Shines in Scotland

Travis Kelce resumed training with the Kansas City Chiefs on Friday, while his partner, Taylor Swift, performed at a sold-out concert in Scotland as part of her highly anticipated Eras Tour.

The mood at the Chiefs’ training camp was somber as the team gathered following the frightening incident involving BJ Thompson, who suffered cardiac arrest during a team meeting on Thursday.

Thompson, 25, is now awake and responsive in the hospital, and the Chiefs canceled their practice on Thursday in light of the concerning events.

Kelce, 34, was spotted alongside Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes in Kansas City on Friday. The team will hold a mandatory minicamp from June 11-13 as they gear up for the upcoming season.

With Kelce’s football commitments ramping up, he will have less time to join Swift on her European tour, which runs through August 20.

Swift’s Friday night performance was the first of three sold-out shows at Murrayfield in Edinburgh, the 67,000-seat stadium that is home to Scotland’s rugby team.

From there, she will travel to Liverpool to perform at Anfield, the renowned soccer stadium, before moving on to Cardiff, London, and Dublin.

Although Kelce’s plans to join Swift on her tour are unclear, he has expressed his intention to accompany her to various destinations during the offseason.

The Chiefs will kick off their NFL season on Thursday, September 5, hosting the Baltimore Ravens at Arrowhead Stadium.

Kelce and the Chiefs are aiming for an unprecedented third consecutive Super Bowl victory, following their triumphs in Las Vegas and against the Philadelphia Eagles, which included Kelce’s older brother, Jason.
