The Terrell Davis In-Flight Controversy
United Airlines Fires Flight Attendant Involved
A dramatic turn of events has unfolded in the aftermath of the in-flight incident involving NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Davis and a United Airlines flight attendant. The airline has fired the steward who accused Davis of physical altercation during a July 13 flight from Denver to Orange County.
A spokesperson for United Airlines confirmed the termination, stating that the decision was made shortly after the incident took place. Initially, the airline had placed the employee on temporary leave pending a thorough review of the matter.
Davis’ attorney, Parker Stinar, expressed surprise upon learning of the flight attendant’s termination, stating that neither he nor Davis had been informed of the decision. Stinar maintained that the airline’s handling of the situation has been inadequate, and that Davis was unjustly placed on United’s “No Fly List” following the incident.
While United Airlines claims to have rescinded the travel ban and issued a public apology, Stinar disputed these claims, calling them “blatantly false.” The attorney emphasized that the airline had not reached out to them regarding the reversal of the ban, and that they intend to take legal action against United in the coming days.
Davis, still shaken by the experience, recounted being led off the plane in handcuffs for simply requesting a cup of ice. He has vowed to hold those responsible accountable for the mistreatment and to ensure that justice is served.
