Tragedy has struck Hollywood legend Clint Eastwood, as the cause of death of his longtime girlfriend, Christina Sandera, has been disclosed.
According to an official from the Monterey County Health Department, Sandera passed away on Thursday, July 18. The death certificate obtained by authorities lists the immediate cause as “cardiac arrhythmia,” a condition characterized by an abnormal heartbeat pattern or timing. Additionally, “atherosclerotic coronary artery disease” was cited as a contributing factor to her demise. Sandera was 61 years old at the time of her passing.
Eastwood, 94, confirmed the devastating news in a statement to the press on July 19, describing Sandera as “a lovely, caring woman” whom he would “miss very much.”
Eastwood and Sandera had been together for over a decade, having met in 2014 while she was working as a hostess at Eastwood’s Mission Ranch Hotel and Restaurant in Carmel-by-the-Sea, California. The Oscar-winning actor and director was previously the mayor of the charming beach town.
