A dancer who appeared in the Netflix documentary Dancing With the Devil has revealed the disturbing aftermath of the film’s release, including death threats and stalking.
Miranda Derrick, 27, recently took to Instagram to share her experience, expressing confusion as to why her family agreed to participate in the documentary, which she believes has damaged their relationship further.
Derrick and her husband, choreographer James, felt safe before the documentary aired, but now feel their lives are in danger. They have experienced stalking, hate mail, and death threats, with people even encouraging them to commit suicide.

Derrick shared a video with her 1.7 million followers, expressing her confusion and hurt over the situation. She stated that she doesn’t understand how her family thought the documentary would help their relationship and that she has been working hard to mend their bond.
The dancer also mentioned that she has been trying to move forward and continue her content creation, but it has been challenging. She thanked her supporters for their kind words and assured them that she sees the light at the end of the tunnel.
Miranda’s sister, Melanie Wilking, gained attention in 2022 when she and their parents claimed they hadn’t spoken to Miranda in over a year. Miranda’s recent attendance at Melanie’s wedding further confused fans, especially after Miranda denied being involved in a cult.
Melanie also refuted Miranda’s claim that the documentary was one-sided, stating that the filmmakers reached out to them multiple times, but they declined.
