**Mikel Arteta Sets Record-Breaking Points Target for Arsenal to Dethrone Manchester City**
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has set an ambitious target of 114 points for his team to win the Premier League title, surpassing Manchester City’s dominance. The Gunners narrowly missed out on the title last season, and Arteta is determined to bring the championship to the Emirates Stadium.
Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s friendly match against Manchester United in Los Angeles, Arteta emphasized the need for improvement from every player and staff member. “I think the message is clear – we need more from everybody. More from everybody includes me. I need to raise the standards, I need to bring something I haven’t brought yet. Individually and collectively, the same,” he said.
Arteta believes that achieving this target will require hard work, discipline, and a collective effort from the entire team. “The more we do that, the better the chance it’s going to be to win the Premier League. This is what we want basically,” he added.
Before facing the press, Arteta participated in a community event with LA Rams head coach Sean McVay, discussing coaching methodology and tactics. The two coaches share a strong friendship, and Arteta values the opportunity to learn from each other.
Arsenal will face Manchester United on Sunday in their second pre-season friendly, and Arteta is looking forward to connecting with the team’s supporters. “It’s an opportunity to connect with our supporters. If they’re Arsenal supporters great, if they’re football supporters let’s try and get them to be Arsenal supporters,” he said.
With a record-breaking points target in mind, Arteta is confident that his team can overcome Manchester City’s dominance and bring the Premier League title to North London.
Will Arsenal be able to achieve Arteta’s ambitious target and dethrone Manchester City? Only time will tell.
