Liam Payne‘s former fiancée, Maya Henry, is not surprised by his recent comments about his current girlfriend, which many have deemed “sexist.” She claims the former One Direction singer has a history of toxic behavior.

Maya, who was engaged to Liam for 10 months before their split in 2021, tells us that his behavior in a recent social media post with girlfriend Kate Cassidy is just the tip of the iceberg. She alleges that she has heard worse comments about women from Liam in the past.

The model is referring to a video of Liam and Kate showing off their fitness in front of a mirror, with Liam telling Kate, “You look good. Nice and covered up… for once.”

Liam’s ex says she feels sorry for Kate, as she believes Kate is living in a toxic environment similar to the one she experienced during her relationship with Liam.

Kate has responded, saying she asked Liam to make a joke about her wearing more clothes than usual, and that he has no issue with her showing skin in public.

Many people believe Liam’s comment was misogynistic, and Maya shares this opinion.

Maya wrote a book called “Looking Forward” after her split with Liam, a novel inspired by her relationship with the pop star. The book touches on themes of abuse, self-harm, and eating disorders.

Maya hopes that sharing her story will help others recognize the signs of toxic relationships, saying, “I hope sharing some of this helps others realize that you don’t have to put up with any form of misogyny.”

In Maya’s opinion, “A toxic relationship is a toxic relationship, regardless of how famous your partner is.”
