La Liga Giants Slap Hefty Tag on Coveted Star Amidst Intense Pursuit

**Atletico Madrid Set Price Tag for Joao Felix Amid Interest from Barcelona and Aston Villa**

Atletico Madrid have revealed their asking price for Portuguese forward Joao Felix, a highly sought-after player this summer. Both Barcelona and Aston Villa are interested in signing Felix, but the Spanish club has made it clear that they will only consider a permanent transfer.

Felix, 24, has been with Atletico since 2019, when he joined from Benfica for a staggering £114 million. After spending the second half of the 2022-23 season on loan at Chelsea, Felix was loaned out to Barcelona for the 2023-24 campaign. The Catalan club is eager to re-sign him, but only on a loan basis.

However, Atletico Madrid are determined to sell Felix permanently, with a price tag of €60 million (£50 million) attached to his name. The club is looking to raise funds to invest in new signings, and Felix’s sale would provide a significant boost to their transfer budget.

Barcelona’s interest in Felix is tempered by their desire to secure another loan deal, which Atletico Madrid are unwilling to consider. This could pave the way for Aston Villa, who are prepared to meet the Spanish club’s asking price. Unai Emery’s side is keen to strengthen their attack, and Felix’s impressive goal-scoring record makes him an attractive target.

During his time at Atletico Madrid, Felix has played 131 games, scoring 34 goals and providing 18 assists. He also made two appearances for Portugal at Euro 2024, although he missed in the shootout as his country was eliminated by France in the quarter-finals.

With Atletico Madrid’s stance clear, it remains to be seen whether Barcelona or Aston Villa will meet their asking price for Joao Felix. One thing is certain, however: the talented forward’s future will be resolved before he returns to Atletico for pre-season training on July 26.
