Keane’s Shock Prediction: Top Four Flop Alert for This Season’s Dark Horse, Warns of Transfer Window Wake-Up Call

Roy Keane’s Shock Prediction: Which Team Will Miss Out on the Premier League Top Four?

Roy Keane, the Manchester United legend, has made a surprising prediction about the Premier League top four. In a recent interview, he revealed that he believes one of the title favourites will fail to secure a Champions League spot.

Fresh from a thrilling summer of sports, Premier League fans are eagerly awaiting the new season, which kicks off on Friday night with Manchester United taking on Fulham. Liverpool and Arsenal will follow on Saturday, while Manchester City travel to Chelsea on Sunday.

Speaking on Stick to Football, Keane shared his belief that Liverpool will blow their chances of a top-four finish.

Keane warned that unless Liverpool make a couple of signings in the next few weeks, they will struggle to remain competitive. He believes that Aston Villa will take their place in the top four instead.

Liverpool have failed to make a signing this transfer window, with new manager Arne Slot preferring to assess his squad first. They did come close to landing Real Sociedad midfielder Martin Zubimendi for £52million, but he eventually rejected the Reds in favour of staying with his boyhood club.

Jamie Carragher remains optimistic about Liverpool’s chances, saying that he doesn’t think they’ll “tank” this season. However, he does acknowledge that there is a hole in midfield that needs to be filled.

Carragher and Keane were speaking on Stick to Football.
