Travis Kelce, tight end for the Kansas City Chiefs, recently shared a lighthearted anecdote about his recent visit to the White House to celebrate the team’s back-to-back Super Bowl victories.
During the event, President Joe Biden made a speech about the team’s success and the tragic events during the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade, which resulted in the death of one woman and injuries to 22 others. In a playful moment, Biden invited Kelce to the podium, despite Secret Service agents warning the player that he would be tased if he approached.
Recounting the story on the New Heights show, Kelce said he could feel the tasers aimed at him
as he stepped up to the podium. He also shared the humorous exchange he had with the Secret Service, who gave him a strict warning not to approach the podium. Kelce’s brother, Jason, joined in the fun, imagining a scenario where Biden invites people up only to have them tased.
