Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce Keen to Sign Mason Greenwood This Summer with the Manchester United Outcast Valued at £50m; the Striker is Hesitant to Join Forces with the Former Red Devils Manager

Fenerbahce has expressed interest in signing Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood, according to reports. The Turkish club is considering a move for Greenwood, whose future is uncertain following the conclusion of his loan spell at Getafe. United has placed a £50 million valuation on the player. However, a potential transfer to Fenerbahce may be complicated by Greenwood’s reluctance to work with their newly appointed manager, Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho, who previously managed United, gave Greenwood his first senior call-up during their pre-season tour of the United States in 2018. The forward also served as an unused substitute under Mourinho in a Champions League match against Valencia in December of that year. During his loan stint at Getafe, Greenwood impressed with ten goals and six assists in 36 appearances.

Greenwood currently has one year remaining on his contract with United, with the club holding an option to extend it by an additional year. In 129 appearances for the Red Devils, he has scored 35 goals and provided 12 assists. It is worth noting that Greenwood faced legal issues in 2022, but the charges were eventually dropped in February 2023 due to the withdrawal of key witnesses.
