Jennifer Lopez appears to have broken her silence for the first time since filing for divorce from her estranged husband, Ben Affleck, on Tuesday.
The 55-year-old singer took to her Instagram Stories on Friday, but instead of sharing new content, she reposted a selfie from a fan account. The photo, which dates back to December 2020, shows JLo looking stunning with thick, caramel-colored curls and a fuzzy pale pink fleece jacket.
Jennifer Lopez has seemingly broken her silence on Friday by reposting a selfie from a fan account. It was her first social media post since filing to divorce Ben Affleck on Tuesday on the two-year anniversary of their second wedding ceremony
The picture appeared to be from December 2020 — predating her second romance with Ben — and it featured a Christmas tree in the background
The singer’s social media post comes after she filed for divorce from Ben, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason. According to sources, the estranged couple had already agreed to the terms of the divorce before she filed.
Jennifer reportedly filed the paperwork herself, without an attorney listed as representing her, although she may have an attorney listed in the future. Ben, on the other hand, appears to have been aware of her plans and did not file a response.
The couple’s decision to end their marriage comes after they allegedly faked a healthy relationship for months, despite having already split behind the scenes.
According to insiders, both parties have significant assets of their own and do not plan to fight over their wealth, leaving their massive Beverly Hills mansion as their only significant shared property that needs to be sold off.
Jennifer requested no spousal support from her ex and asked the court to deny it for Ben as well.

Divorce attorney Chris Melcher told Us Weekly that, although a prenuptial agreement wasn’t mentioned in Jennifer’s divorce filing, that doesn’t mean that the two did not have one in effect.
Jennifer and Ben were married in an intimate ceremony on July 16, 2022, and later tied the knot a second time for family and friends at Ben’s estate in South Carolina on August 20, 2022 — two years to the day before she filed for divorce.
