Jennifer Lopez Files for Divorce from Ben Affleck on Their Second Wedding Anniversary
After months of speculation, Jennifer Lopez has officially filed for divorce from Ben Affleck, marking the end of their two-year marriage. The news comes on the couple’s second wedding anniversary, August 20.
The singer and actress, known for her hit song “On the Floor,” filed for divorce without the help of an attorney, citing the date of separation as April 26, 2024. This marks Lopez’s fourth divorce and Affleck’s second.
According to sources, the couple did not sign a prenuptial agreement before tying the knot in July 2022. This means that their individual earnings from the past two years, including film projects and brand deals, will be considered community property.
Lopez has asked the judge to deny spousal support to Affleck, and she is not seeking it herself. However, insiders claim that the exes are still battling over finances behind the scenes, with no settlement in sight.
The couple’s $60 million Beverly Hills marital home, which they listed for sale in May, has yet to find a buyer. Affleck has since purchased a new $20.5 million bachelor pad in LA, while Lopez is still searching for a new home.
