Jay-Z and Tom Brady: A Match Made in GOAT Heaven. Public Service Announcement Brings the House Down.

has made countless entrances to the tune of Jay-Z’s hit song ‘Public Service Announcement’ throughout his illustrious career. So, it was only fitting that the rapper made a surprise appearance at Gillette Stadium to perform the song live as a tribute to the quarterback’s induction into the Patriots Hall of Fame.

Emerging from a smoke-filled stage in front of a crowd of over 60,000 people in Foxborough, Massachusetts, on Wednesday night, Jay-Z kicked off the ceremony with his iconic line, ‘Allow me to reintroduce myself.’ He then proceeded to introduce Brady, saying, ‘Foxborough, make some noise! Put one hand in the air for the GOAT, Mr. Tom Brady.’

The seven-time Super Bowl champion then made his grand entrance onto the field, returning to the stadium that was his home for the majority of his legendary NFL career. Fans took to Twitter to express their excitement, with one saying, ‘Jay-Z opening for Tom Brady’s Patriots Hall of Fame induction! It’s a GOAT thang.’

Brady has been known to enter the field to the sound of ‘PSA’ before games, and he has previously expressed his admiration for Jay-Z. The two have crossed paths over the years, and their friendship has endured. They were recently seen together at an intimate breakfast hosted by Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin, where they offered advice and knowledge to a small group of NFL rookies from the 2024 class.

Wednesday night’s ceremony was a celebration of Brady’s remarkable career, with Boston sports fans, Patriots team legends, and celebrities from across New England in attendance. Brady arrived an hour early and was joined by Robert Kraft and his wife, Dr. Dana Blumberg, on the red carpet. The ceremony included an opening monologue by Boston comedian Bill Burr and congratulations from former players such as Ed Reed, Ray Lewis, and Michael Strahan.

Peyton Manning, Brady’s longtime rival, also made an appearance, and the two reminisced about their contentious on-field duels. Other notable guests included Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy and New Jersey native Jon Bon Jovi, whose music was synonymous with Patriots touchdowns at Gillette Stadium.

Brady’s career with the Patriots spanned 20 seasons, during which he reached the AFC Championship game 13 times and the Super Bowl nine times, winning six titles. He holds numerous records, including the most passing touchdowns, completions, yards, and wins for a quarterback. Brady has been named MVP of the NFL three times and the Super Bowl five times, solidifying his status as one of the greatest players in the history of the game.
