Croatian model Ivana Knoll, who rose to prominence during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, took to Instagram to express her disappointment after Croatia’s hopes of advancing to the knockout stages of Euro 2024 were dealt a significant blow.
On Monday night, Croatia was held to a heartbreaking draw by Italy, with Mattia Zaccagni’s equalizer in the dying moments of the game canceling out Luka Modric’s second-half goal that had given Croatia the lead.
A victory for Croatia would have seen them finish above Italy in Group B and secure their spot in the next round. However, with only two points and a goal difference of minus three, their chances of progressing as one of the best third-placed teams now look slim.
As things stand, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, and Slovenia are all on course to advance, but there is still a glimmer of hope for Croatia if England can beat Slovenia by a margin of four goals or more on Tuesday night.

She had appeared in an interview with the television company, during which some comments were made about her choice of clothing.
Knoll complained about feeling cold during the interview while wearing a bikini top. In response, she published a series of messages on Instagram, criticizing Wontorra and Magenta TV. She wrote, ‘Dear Laura, if I looked like that, I would only wear winter clothes forever.’ She continued, ‘The most unprofessional television ever. Teach your presenters the culture and never invite me for an interview again,’ signing off with a thumbs-down emoji.
