Steve Bruce could be set to make a surprise return to management as the coach of Jamaica. The 63-year-old has been out of work since his sacking from West Brom in October 2022, but has held talks with officials from the Caribbean country.
Bruce, who has previously managed the likes of Newcastle United, Aston Villa, and Sheffield Wednesday, is a serious contender for the role, according to sources. A decision is expected within the next 10 days.

Jamaica have been without a boss since Heimir Hallgrímsson resigned at the end of last month, following a disappointing Copa America campaign that saw the team exit without a single point from three matches.

Bruce, who has managed over 1,000 games at 12 clubs, has previously expressed his desire to return to football. Only five managers since the start of the Premier League have taken charge of more matches.

Jamaica’s early exit from the Copa America was viewed as a major disappointment, especially given the presence of Premier League stars Michail Antonio, Bobby De Cordova-Reid, and Ethan Pinnock in their squad.
